Walking ln His Footsteps
Walking ln His Footsteps
Fred and his wife Sarah live in northwest New Mexico in the wonderland of the high desert that blends into the San Juan Mountains and Weminuche Wilderness barely twenty-five miles away in southern Colorado, and the Four Corners region, giving them access to the marvelous rock canyons and sandstone dunes of New Mexico, the high, forest covered mountains of Colorado, the wonderful red rock country of southeastern Utah, and the astounding Navajo Nation encompassing the Four Corners region. It is a land unsurpassed in all the world for its beauty and variety. Those characteristics are expressed in the photographs and poetry of Fred Willmon. You will enjoy exploration of both the presence of God and the magnificence of nature in God’s Promises and Nature’s Beauty, Volume 1 and Volume 2, and in The Two Choices.
Fred’s books that examine the New Testament books of John and Hebrews, titled Jesus is the Explanation (Jesus in the Gospel of John) and Focus on Faithfulness (Studies in
Hebrews), will challenge you to think about God and His interaction with the human family, and direct you to the Bible itself for instruction and inspiration for living.
Jesus is the Explanation explores the Gospel of John to consider Jesus as He presented Himself to the world. Jesus said of Himself, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), and focused on the Father. This work examines John’s presentation of how we must view Jesus to see God more clearly.
Focus on Faithfulness looks at the concept that faithfulness is not built on
circumstances but on the holy God we serve. This book examines the exhortations
of Hebrews that taught first century Christians how to live faithfully in the face of a
secular and hostile world, exhortations that the 21st century church surely needs.
God's Promises and Nature's Beauty Volumes One, Two and Three are photographic and devotional glimpses of the world that draw the reader into the marvelous wonders that the world holds and the views that they give of the nature and love of God. The world class photographs of the Four Corners of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona express beauty that amazes all who experience it, and the poetic views expressed draw us into participation of God and His love for the people He has made.
Fred and Sarah both grew up in Borger, Texas. Fred is a graduate of Abilene Christian University, and has done post-graduate studies at other colleges and universities. His preaching ministry has included full-time work with congregations of God’s people in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. His wide experience and depth of thought are reflected in all his work. He and Sarah have three sons, Joel, Jay, and Jesse, and their wives, respectively, Amy, Annie, and Kirsten, and six grandchildren, Christian, Jeana, Brooks, Chamonix, Lafe, and Lyra.
